La Collinaccia Pride of place on our property is taken by La Collinaccia, set atop our highest ridge. The sun rises over the Romagna Appenines to warm the pool and the shaded breakfast loggia, and the sun sets behind the Tuscan Appenines that stretch out endlessly from the front of the house. There's not another building in sight to interrupt the view, except as distant specks on the far horizon. La Collinaccia, originally a shepherd's house, is our latest renovation. All modern comforts were built in, during the restoration where, again, we have used the finest local materials - terracotta flooring, chestnut from our own trees and tiles from the nearby factories of Faenza. Ground floor, a large living room with a feature working fireplace looks out to the north and the east. Behind it are three double bedrooms with built-in closets and three bathrooms. Also overlooking the wooded hills of Tuscany is a dining room and a separate large, fully-equipped kitchen. Upstairs is another double bedroom with its own bathroom. The facilities include gas-fired water and central heating, dishwasher, washing machine and satellite TV. The pool (5x10 mt.deph 1,20-1,90) is set in the lawn adjoining the house. Car parking is discreetly out of sight. First floor: An eight person apartment. Large sitting-room with beautiful open fire place, dining-room, fully equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms (each sleeping 2 people) and 4 bathrooms. There is also a small terrace where you can relax looking out at the spectacular 360° views. Before you enter the apartment on the first floor you walk into a large ground floor dining-room with beautiful open fire place and French doors which can be opened to take full advantage of the panoramic vista. You will also find in adjoining rooms a second kitchen (for convenient alfresco dining) and a large utility room with all amenities. La Collinaccia For large groups we can offer the entire villa which would be the two apartments (both ground and first floor apartments as detailed above) to create a completely private villa sleeping a total of 16 people.
